My daily commute from north Shelby county to Birmingham takes me along Alabama's busiest corridor, US hwy 280. Here are things I've seen.

This tag brought back some good memories
I spotted this amateur radio tag the other morning and it sure brought back lots of memories. Years ago when I was married my father in law was studying to get his ham radio license. Back in those days you had to know morse code to get the license. He had this homemade thing to practice on which looked like a block of wood with a code key and speaker attached. He was a college professor and every week when we drove back and forth to school together he was practicing the whole time. It took him a long time but he finally got good enough to pass the test and get his license. His call signs were KA4BSQ. I sure do miss him. He was always so kind to me.

Bama is "Too Dynamite"
Clearly we live in the center of the football universe. I see more Bama and Auburn tags than anything else.

Nice Lexus
I got behind this nice black Lexus with a Barber Vintage Museum tag. I see lots of these on 280 as we are understandably proud of everything George Barber has done for Birmingham. If you ever have the opportunity to visit the museum and racetrack you must do it.

Snow in Alabama...........again
Seems like we have had more snow than ever this winter in central Alabama. Here's a photo of truckzilla. He really didn't want to go to work that morning.
